Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue E. Taylor is an American actor-producer and stage actress is known for playing in the film Ray Undercover Brother as well as appearing in The Mentalist. She received a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies at Brown University as well as a Masters in Fine Arts in Acting at the Tisch School for the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is an actor, producer and American actress active in theatre, television and film. Her acting journey began in theater and later appeared in a number of shows on television as well as independent and mainstream films. She was known for appearing as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) and on BET's huge The Book of Negroes. The series both received critical acclaim, but she also received a number of awards. She made her professional acting debut with the character Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. She's appeared in Broadway in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Her most well-known work is her role in the series Men of Honor and the Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. Her work in television she's received praise for her role as the regular character in ABC's cop drama High Incident.
