Patricia Apollonia Kotero (born Patricia Apollonia Kotero) is an American actor, singer, and former model. The actress was the co-star of Prince's 1984 film Purple Rain, and the lead singer of the girl group Apollonia 6 She was one of several female artists who benefited from Prince's association during the 1980s. Patricia Kotero is a Californian actress born in Santa Monica in 1959. Her early career included acting as a model for television. In 1984, she was cast as the leading lady in Prince's Purple Rain. (During this period, she also changed her surname) Then she was replaced by Vanity as a member of the female trio Vanity 6 who performed in the film with Apollonia 6 under their name. The three scored a minor hit with Sex Shooter but it was as Prince's duet partner on Take Me with You from the soundtrack that she made more of an impact on charts. Kotero and Prince had a fallout regarding her career. Apollonia6 split, Kotero was not able to keep her romance with Prince. The singer appeared in several small film projects during this time however, she was not able to be in The Purple Rain sequel Under the Cherry Moon. In 1985-1986 she landed a part on the evening drama Falcon Crest. Apollonia had the opportunity to launch her debut album in the year 1988. However, the album didn't leave a lasting impression on music lovers and was soon obliterated from the music scene. During the following decade, Apollonia continued to perform as an actress (if somewhat unnoticed) and also in a few TV roles, movies and an exercise video. Apollonia released a bilingual album in Spanish and English named Stay With Me in 1997. Following her return to the university, she received a bachelor's degree in filmmaking. Then she established her own business. Apollonia is a multi-talented woman. She was a model, singer actress and talent manager. She is famous for her performance in the 1984 movie Purple Rain. Other films and TV shows are Black Magic Woman, The Divorce Ceremony as well as many more. Kotero debuted her career as a model. She took part in various events and contests.
