Ana Paula Oliveira bio

Ana Paula Oliveira was born on May 26, 1978, at Campinas Sao Paulo, Brazil. Woman on Top (2000), Sem Fio (2009), and A Indomada (1997) are among her best-known films. Ana Paula Oliveira became a membre of the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime (GI-TOC) in March of 2020. She currently works as an analyst overseeing the Assassination Witness project and one of the core members of the GITOC's multilateral engagement team. The GI-TOC's research activities is focused on disappearances, assassinations and various forms of violence, particularly in the context of illicit economy. The research area she is interested in is the effect of organized criminality on law, policy and legislation relating to human rights. Ana Paula has an LL.M. Cum laude (with an honors grade) from the field of International Law from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva. She also holds an LL.M. on Public Law, as well as an MBA in international relations from Fundacao Getulio Vargas. Ana Paula holds a Bachelor degree with a magna cumlaude distinction in Legal as well as Social Sciences by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Following a four-year time at an international law firm, she's certified as an attorney. Her previous experiences included working with roles in non-governmental organizations located on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro and Geneva.
