Linda Edna Cardellini was born in Redwood City, California, to Lorraine (Hernan) and Wayne David Cardellini who is a businessman. Linda is Italian via her father's grandfather. Irish by her mom, German, English, Scottish, and German. Linda was born in San Francisco Bay and grew to be the youngest among four kids. Her breakout moment came in the year 2015, when she portrayed the leading role in Cinderella which was a film about fantasy. Her previous roles included Lady Rose MacClare as part of the period drama Downton Abbey. James later played the role of the role of Countess Natasha Rostova as part of the TV adaptation of War & Peace (2016). Also, she appeared in a number films like Baby Driver (2017) and The Dig -2021. We Go Back Again (2018), and Yesterday (2019). Her portrayal of Pamela Anderson for the biographical show Pam & Tommy in 2022 earned her Golden Globes and Primetime Emmy Awards.
